Autumn Decorating Idea: Simple Harvest Centerpiece

The harvest months is a really good time to get those decorating and imaginative juices flowing, but take a chance and go beyond the standard cornucopia to a very modern day arrangement that can comfortably be constructed during a damp afternoon. Wouldn't you love to come up with a one of a kind arrangement that nobody else has? Follow these steps to create your own harvest centerpiece.

Materials:
Clear Glass Vase 12 Inches Tall or More.
Small Plastic or Foam Pumpkins and Gourds.
Autumn Themed Ribbon
Moss
2 Blocks of Flower Foam
1 Silk Autumn Leaf Bush
2 Artificial Autumn Bushes of Your Choice (Mums, Daisies)
Floral Picks
Glue Gun and Glue.

Instructions:
Cut a small square of foam and secure it to the inside bottom of the vase.
Cover with moss.
Take out the wire from the floral picks and glue the picks to the pumpkins and gourds.
Insert the pumpkins and gourds in the foam inside the vase, trimming the picks as needed.
Cut Ribbon to wrap around the neck of the vase and secure with glue.
Trim foam to fit into the top of vase and secure with glue.
Cover with moss.
Cut fall leaf bush into stems of varying lengths (2-3 inches).
Cut harvest floral bushes into stems of varying lengths (2-3 inches).
Starting with the silk leaves, place the stems into the foam throughout the arrangement, allowing some to drape down the side. Fill in the excess space with the stems from the 2 floral bushes and remaining pumpkins and gourds.

This is a modern twist to the classic cornucopias and fall baskets that have been used in fall decor for years. This straightforward design is easy to design and offers no end of choices in color and silk flower selections.

Now that you know how to design this project, why not add this simple and easy harvest centerpiece to your fall decorating plans?
